This webinar will address the Chancellor's Student Success Task Force recommendations related to institutional research and technology issues.

This webinar addresses the implications of the Chancellor's Student Success Task Force recommendations on technology and research, including:

  • Developing and implementing a common diagnostic assessment tool to better determine the skill levels of entering students
  • Expanding use of technology in student services, especially as it relates to students’ educational plans
  • Creating centralized student support modules that offer high interactivity with local campus and district IT and administrative systems
  • Implementing expanded accountability reporting (via a publicly understandable “score card”) that will include progress made on intermediate measures of student success as well as ultimate outcomes

Patrick Perry and Erik Skinner from the Chancellor's Office will kick off the session with an overview of the related recommendations, followed by perspectives from some practitioners.  Then we will open the lines to participants to add your thoughts on the implications of the recommendations and how they might be implemented.
